LEGEND OF DEER WOMAN

The night air was cold and damp with the wind howling around the old Chevy like wolfs on the prowl.
“Okay Jenny tell me again why we are sitting out here in the old Indian cemetery and not at the costume party back in town?”
“I told you Alicia this is the night that we are guaranteed to see Deer Woman. She is spotted every Halloween out in the cemetery.”
“Who the hell is Deer Woman anyways?”
“She is a Ponca Indian myth. She is supposedly a creature with the body and legs of a Deer and the torso and arms of a woman with antlers on her head.”
“Oh please, you have got to be kidding me! Just how did this creature come to be is what I want to know?”
“Well slide on over here honey to keep me warm and I will tell you about the legend and the horrible things that she has done.”
“Oh yea, cuddling; I’m starting to like this Deer Woman stakeout.”
Alicia scooted across the bench seat next to Jenny who wrapped her arm around Alicia’s shoulders. Alicia laid her head on Jenny’s chest and her hand upon her thigh.
“Yes I am definitely starting to see the benefit of this Deer Woman stakeout, now. Okay honey tell me all about Deer Woman.”
As if on cue the wind picked up and grew stronger slightly rocking the old Chevy back and forth.
“Well the story goes that she is part deer and part woman because an old medicine man cursed her mother while she was still in the womb. She is sort of like a Centaur in Greek mythology but instead of a horse she is a deer. She is found roaming the cemetery during full moons and always on Halloween.”
“Well what does she do while roaming the cemetery?”
“She terrorizes and kills anyone she finds.”
“Well she must not find too many people since I have never heard of anyone being killed out here.”
“Remember about a month ago during the last full moon two boys came up missing, Buster Pierce and Taylor Cox?”
“Yea someone said they ran off because their folks found out they were lovers.”
“Nope I no for a fact the Sheriff found Busters van out here in the ravine. But the bodies of the two boys were never found because Deer Woman hauled them off to her lair. My older brother David during his senior year in high school brought a date out here to see Deer Woman. About midnight they heard something outside the truck that sounded like hoofs and suddenly their truck was being pushed over the ledge into the ravine. The only reason Deer Woman didn’t get them was because he turned on all his flood lights that he uses for varmint hunting and scared her off. They waited until dawn and then walked back into town. Boy Dad sure was mad when he had to pay the tow truck bill for pulling them out.”
“Are you serious Jenny or are you just pulling my leg?”
“Honestly, ask Dad about it sometime. He still gives David shit about it.”
“Well I still don’t believe in a part deer and part women creature that terrorizes and kills people.”
“Well we will find out tonight if we are lucky.”
“You know Jenny if the legend is true aren’t we risking our lives being out here?”
“I thought you didn’t believe in Deer Woman.”
“I don’t but if you do, don’t you think you should make love to me one last time before she finds and kills us?”
“You know I think you might be right. Come here baby and let me protect you.”
Alicia tilted her head up so that Jenny could kiss her lips. Their shared kisses grew more passionate as their hands started to explore each others bodies.
“Come on Alicia baby help me take your shirt off so I can taste your breast.”
“Oh yea that’s it baby, my nipples are so erect they hurt.”
Jenny sucked Alicia’s breast into her mouth toying the nipple with the tip of her tongue while running the other nipple between her fingers. This brought moans of desire from Alicia as she pulled Jenny’s head down tighter to her breast.

Jenny rose up from Alicia’s breast and had a wicked little grin on her face as she reached down and pulled a gym bag up off the floor. “Guess what I have in here.” She said with a smirk.

“You need to help me get it on there’s not much room in the cab of this truck.”
They giggled as they struggled to get Jenny in the harness in the confines of the truck cab.

“I keep ramming the stick shift into my thigh.”
“Here let me move it over. Is that better?”

The old Chevy started rocking with the active love making going on in the small cab. Then suddenly Jenny was pitched off Alicia onto the floor as she felt the front of the truck angle down.
“What the hell?”
“Jenny what are you? Wait the truck it’s moving!”
“Oh shit Alicia hang on I thing we are going to roll down in to the ravine.”
Then the truck did just that throwing Alicia on top of Jenny on the floor as it bumped it’s way down the side and landed in the eight foot ravine with a thud.
Alicia started screaming and about trampled Jenny to death in the floor trying to get back up and onto the seat.
“Alicia calm down! Everything is okay.”
“Oh Jenny is it Deer Woman? Has she come to kill us? I am so scared!”
Jenny could hardly hold back her laughter as she saw the clear fear on her lover’s face where moments ago it was contoured in the heat of passion.
“What the hell are you laughing at Jenny? We are going to be killed. I didn’t believe you at first, I thought you were just making her up. Oh Jenny why did you bring us out here I thought you loved me.”
Jenny saw the true worry on Alicia’s face and sat up on the seat to pull her close. “Shooo baby it is going to alright. There is no Deer Woman. I must have just parked to close to the edge of the ravine and after I took the truck out of gear we must have got to rocking so much that the front tires slipped over the edge causing the truck to roll down here.”
“Are you sure?”
“I’m pretty sure. You see, my brother David admitted to me that was what happened to him. He was just too embarrassed to tell Dad what he was doing. We had better get dressed and start walking to town.”
“I’m not about to get out of this truck until daylight!”
“Okay honey. But I think we should still get dressed.”
They sat together huddled in the truck at the bottom of the ravine until daylight and then started walking the five miles back into town.
“Alicia, do you think my Dad is going to believe the Deer Woman story when I hand him the towing bill?”
“Well Jenny I don’t know if he will believe it or not but I know this is one Halloween I will never forget.”
The two young women looked at each other laughed then locked arms as they headed into town.
