2007 Archives
10/31/07 Hi from Butches Babes and Bards,
It's another spooky Halloween and we wanted to make sure you have enough reading material to enjoy the midnight hours of handing out candy.
Jaye Morgan has written her fabulous creepy take on meeting DEATH. As usual, she was brilliant.
JLNicky has sat down to engage you with a reaccount of some events that happened one Hallows Eve near Corinth Forest, Mississippi.
Bliss is still providing her wonderful music. This month she has recorded a beautiful a capella version of Cold. Go listen to her sultry voice. Or you can read up on her new mystery Above Suspicion chapters 1 and 2 (unfinished).
And here are the wonderful stories from previous Halloween's, just in case you missed them:
Cherokee Echols - Legend of Deer Woman
Jaye Morgan - In the Playground
*****Special Halloween Note from Cherokee Echols in Oklahoma.

06/19/07 Hello everyone!
The Golden Crown Literary Society (GCLS) at www.goldencrown.org recently held their convention for authors, publishers and fans in Atlanta at the Sheraton Midtown Atlanta Hotel. Many great published as well as online authors where in attendance including our very own Bliss. She has a short blog about the people, classes, readings, awards ceremony and dance on her site, take time to have a look. (You can find a list of 2007 “Goldie” winners posted on the GCLS site).
Another fabulous happening for our little group is our very own JLNicky has a story included in the inaugural copy of “Read These Lips”. You can find out more about this at www.readtheselips.com and on JLNicky’s site.
Take a moment and look at both of these great sites for lesbian literature and while you are at it check out a couple of our favorite authors sites who where “Goldie” winners as well as “Alice B” award winners. www.gerihill.com and www.lorillake.com
Thanks for dropping by BBB!

04/11/07 Hello my butches and babes, Yes, its time for another update. Have you missed us?
I have been very busy with school and am now enrolled full time to complete my masters by 2008. So, as boring as that sounds....I'm very busy.
Our bards are also very busy.
AnnieSA just got married.
Jaye Morgan is rewriting her Ashe series for possible publishing.
Cherokee Echols and Bliss are collaborating on chapter two of the Three Rivers Territory story.
And I am writing a couple of short stories for a soon to be published free convention hand out (JLNicky).
Speaking of which: Here is the Golden Crown Literary Society convention handout. GCLS con Flyer.pdf
Enjoy.
02/06/07 Welcome to the February update for Butches Babes and Bards. We have five writers that want to make sure you’re enjoying your winter.
Just incase you’re a bit cold AnnieSA has created a video to warm you right up. In fact, I’d say it will make you hot!!! Enjoy her latest video offering “INSATIABLE” dedicated to her fiancé.
Additionally, you can find the latest update to Jaye Morgans Book 2 Ashe Series: Fire & Water see chapters HERE.
As for Cherokee Echols and Bliss, they are working on a 2nd chapter to Three Rivers Indian Territory.
I have spent the last 6 months furthering my education. I am happy to say I have a 4.0 going for my Masters in IT Systems Design and Programming. YAY for me! I will be submitting a short story for a special private project but for now will not be posting any stories for a bit. Next months update I should have a story. Thanks for visiting Butches Babes and Bards.
